FAQs
Q: Can you tell me something about myself right this second that nobody else would know?
A: To quote that one Geico commercial, “That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.” It would be pretty invasive if mediums could just automatically tell you things about yourself nobody else would know. Personally, I like to set my boundaries so that I don’t absorb other energies and so that I don’t overstep in saying something you don’t want people to know. There may be times I get random messages about people but nothing truly invasive and nothing I'd say to prove what I do. This isn't a bar trick. It's a calling from God to be of service so to use it to prove my abilities would be to feed my ego. I consciously try to avoid giving my ego any power because that means I'm putting faith in fears, insecurities, etc. instead of my faith in God.
It can be tempting, especially if you're skeptical, to ask a medium to "perform on cue." Please remember that it's like asking a singer to quickly belt out a ballad without allowing them to exercise their voice or like asking an accountant to do your taxes on demand. There's a time and a place for everything. It's just as disrespectful to ask a medium to perform on the spot as it would be to ask any other profession to do the same.
Q: Are you a small medium at large?
A: ha-ha… very funny.

Q: It says in your bio that you’re an actress. Is this all just acting for you?
A: Absolutely not! You can be more than one thing in your life. I always say that acting is my passion but that mediumship is my calling. If God spoke to you today and said, “I need you to be of service for Me…” would you turn Him away and say “No, I think I’d rather pursue my passion…” Of course not. This is a high honor to be chosen to help heal people and bring people closer to the other side. I respect God, the messages and this gift far too much to ever falsify the information given to me.
Q: I'm an atheist but I'm still interested in getting a reading. Should I expect a whole lot of preaching about God?
A: Here's the thing, I am not going to deny my spiritual beliefs and say I don't do this for God. At the same time, God made all of His children believe different things so that we can all learn from each other. I never force my beliefs on others. Your reading may bring up religious messages but it's not necessarily a given. I've had some readings where only loved ones who have passed come through or spirit guides that have very specific answers to your internal questions. I cannot guarantee what a reading will include but I can at least assure you that I'm not going to ever judge you or push my feelings on you. These messages are not from me. They're from the other side. If you're feeling open enough to be interested in a reading than I suspect you're open enough for whatever message comes through.
Q: Can you tell the future?
A: Not in the way you think! I’ve had premonitions and visions but never in such a specific manner that I can pinpoint when things will happen and how. It’s not like in the movies. I’ll be shown a quick “clip” of a moment in time but it’s sort of like having a puzzle piece and not the full puzzle to completely know the future. The closest I’ll be able to come to telling the future is if I’m in the Akashic Records and spirit tells me something that is crucial to a persons life journey.

Q: Can you tell me the lotto numbers?
A: This is quite possibly the most frequently asked question. The answer is: no! If I knew the lotto numbers don’t you think I’d use them myself? Trust me, I've tried to ask for them. Spirit taught me a lesson that my request was ego-oriented. So I've stopped asking. If you're meant to win the lotto then you will naturally without spirit giving you the numbers in a reading.
Q: When did you first realize you had a gift?
A: I was always very open about seeing “ghosts” throughout my childhood. I used to sit in the schoolyard of my elementary school with friends and tell them stories of the spirits my family and I saw at home. I’d make jokes about it because it was my way to cope with feeling haunted.
I first realized I wasn’t alone in this gift and that it could be something “normal” when I saw the first episode of The Long Island Medium. I remember sitting in front of the T.V with my mom beside me and I started crying. I asked my mom if I was a medium and she looked at me as though she thought I already knew I was. I felt like I had no control of the gift and therefore it was a curse to have but seeing a medium on television opened my eyes to realizing I wasn't alone in this.
Q: Did you try to ignore it?
A: Yes, for most of my life I tried to ignore it. I’d see spirit standing in doorways and hallways but I’d remain silent and try not to give a reaction. I felt like they wouldn’t know I saw them if I didn’t react. It really scared me. Imagine you’re alone in a room and all of a sudden some man is standing in the room too, or a child, and then within a blink of an eye they’ve disappeared. You can still sense they’re there but they’ve hidden themselves. I’m a very jumpy person and I credit part of my jumpiness to spirit randomly showing up. I mostly credit my jumpiness to my sister hiding in closets and jumping out to scare me. (Thanks, sis…)
Q: What’s the first step you took to embrace this gift?
A: I read Theresa Caputo’s first book. She had extreme anxiety just like me. There were a lot of similarities and I felt relief knowing I wasn’t alone. I wasn’t the weird girl in the schoolyard with ghost stories anymore… I felt like there were people like me out there. I stopped reading the book and didn’t pursue studying this gift any further until my uncle committed suicide. I had premonitions leading up to his passing and “gut feelings” of death. I didn’t know who these feelings or premonitions were for so I was met with overwhelming anxiety about it. When I was told he committed suicide I felt extreme guilt because I worried God was sending me signs to stop my uncle and I wasn’t knowledgeable enough to know how to listen. After months of grieving through the guilt, I made the decision to begin my mediumship. I opened Theresa Caputo’s book again and read who helped Theresa with her mediumship; a woman names Pat Longo. I reached out to Pat and asked for help. We had a helpful meeting and she referred me to read several books that would help me through my studies. Those books can be found on my Recommendation page.
Q: Why did you need a "mediumship?" I thought you either had this gift or you don't. Why do you need someone to teach you?
A: I got this question a lot when I first began studying my mediumship and it wasn't so much offensive as it was very clear to me that this topic needs to be discussed more openly so that people don't have misconceptions. When children are young their parents tend to begin their schooling in faith, whether that means you went to Sunday School, Bible Study, Synagogue or Temple. It was there that you learned about your religion and a higher power.
I learned about my higher power, God, through prayer and through listening to the internal guidance He's given me throughout my life. At the same time, I was scared of seeing spirit or hearing messages so I "closed off" for many years of my life. My mediumship became my Sunday School. My body was always my temple but I did not originally see it that way. When I'd say I was going to a mediumship workshop or online class, people would look at me puzzled and question why I'd need to learn something I was "supposedly" born with. You are born with this same ability but have not yet learned how to tune in. The greatest artists are born with talent but learn how to use it for their greater good. When I was in art school I learned technique and focus. Mediumship is the same. You are learning techniques for how best to channel while also learning more about God. Studying "how to be a medium" was more like saying "how do I serve God in the way that He wants for me? How can I learn about Jesus, Mother Mary, Kuan Yin, Kali, Archangel Michael and all of the other Ascended Masters on the other side that are guiding me to serve God to my highest ability?" The answer is by studying ways to channel, by helping heal people through readings, art, and our relationships with one another.

Q: You mention God and Jesus but then a lot of other names from other religions. What is your religion?
A: I don't really connect to a specific religion. For years of my life I felt guilty about this but you don't need to be religious to be spiritual. I believe in God and I believe He has many other spiritual entities around to help His people. I believe God has purposely put many different opinions and religious beliefs on the same planet to help us better understand each other and that doesn't mean one is better than the next. It means we all should be good people and love each other. I celebrate Christmas (it's my favorite holiday with all that cheer!) and other Christian holidays but I don't define myself by my religion. I define myself by who I am as a person and how I feel spiritually.
Q: How do you receive your messages? Who gives you them?
A: The “who” may be a clients loved one, my guides, their guides, or one of the Ascended Masters (Jesus, Mother Mary, Archangel Michael, etc…) depending on the client.
There are several different ways mediums connect to the other side. There are “the Clairs” that describe the ways we receive information but every medium I know receives the messages differently. Some connect with all of the clairs and others connect with one but have a heightened ability with that one sense.
Personally, I connect in most ways. I see (clairvoyant) spirit physically in the room, symbols in my minds eye, and I occasionally have “visions” of what will occur. I’d say that my clairvoyance is one of my strongest senses because I may receive full visions of someones experience during a reading or just be shown something much more vague like a color or symbol. Every reading is different and a constant lesson from spirit. In my daily life, I receive my messages through my clairvoyance and clairaudience the most.
Clairaudience is the ability to hear the messages spirit tells me. This sense is used the most through my readings because I hear the messages that I transcribe for my clients as they come in. It’s very difficult to explain because sometimes I hear spirit loud and clear as if they are in the room with me physically. Other times, it’s as though I’m hearing them in my ear. Think of it like the difference between listening to music loudly at a party versus listening to music from your earbud. It’s very similar to that. Sometimes the messages come as though they are my own thoughts but I know they aren’t actually my thoughts. This makes it sound a little concerning like “the voices in my head” but I assure you it’s nothing connected to my mental stability. It’s just the way spirit chooses to come through.
I can sense the messages or events (clairsentience) in specific chakras, or throughout my body depending on the message. For instance, I once had a client’s deceased husband come through in a reading. I suddenly felt very sick and fatigued. My head began throbbing and I was overcome with nausea. Her husband was trying to explain that he died very painfully from cancer by making me experience the ailments he felt before his passing. Usually when this happens, I will stop feeling these ailments the moment I relay the message to my client. However, there have been times I had to demand the energy leave because it was not my illness to have. The way the messages come through are very specific to the spirit or energy on the other side. Some clients loved ones send their messages as dramatically as previously mentioned while others will just say, “I was very sick when I passed” and use their words to describe it. It depends on how they are able to come through.
In my daily life, I receive messages that I just know to be true. I feel it strongly as though it was my information to know (claircognizance.) I’ve also received messages via taste (clairgustance) and smell (clairsalience) but I really don’t like when I receive messages this way and have requested spirit limit the use of these senses or at least have them come through in a more subtle way. There have been times that my uncle’s soul visited me with the smell of cigarette smoke and I detest that smell. If you’re confused about your own gifts and still coming to terms with them, please know that it is absolutely okay to say to spirit “Stop coming to me this way. I ask you come in the form of ____ instead” or to even ask your guides to help you establish boundaries with spirit. It’s important to remember you are the one in control here! Spirit cannot interfere with your free will so be assertive, set the boundaries and know you’re not alone in the journey. You don't have to feel haunted by this gift. It's a gift! Everyone loves gifts! So remember the blessing in having this and learn to use it as best you can.

Q: What happens if my relatives speak another language? How can you understand them?
A: It depends on how they decide to come through. I've had it where the messages are said in the other language and I explain I cannot understand them so spirit repeats it slower and I try to write the messages as they sound. This typically happens with music or lullabies. Otherwise, my other senses will be used for the messages. I may be given impressions through symbols, physical feelings or images of the loved one. Your spirit guides may describe the relative in detail with words. Sometimes the messages themselves are relayed through your guides as well, such as "His/Her mother wants him/her to know..."
Love is a universal language so even if your Grandmother only spoke Spanish- her messages of love and care for you will always come through strongly. Thankfully, spirit has many different options for how they can come through and I've been trained to be aware of all my senses when I'm channelling. I will always do my best to relay the message to my fullest capacity. It's up to my clients to be open to receiving them.
FAAQs
Q: What kind of readings do you provide?
A: Currently I provide Akashic Record Readings, Traditional Medium Readings (listed as "individual readings" on my appointment page), Virtual Group Readings and I host a free Instagram Live Group Channeling every Tuesday at 6:30pm on my Instagram @ReadingsByMeganAllegra
Q: What are the Akashic Records?
A: The Akashic Records are the soul library in the 5th Dimension on the other side. I cannot physically see what the records look like but I refer to them as a library because all of our souls records reside there. All of the details from every past life and this current life are protected there. It’s a sacred place with Record Keepers that guard all of the information. I need to be granted permission to enter the records; permission from the client and permission from the Record Keepers.

Q: Why do you need my full legal name to access the records?
A: Consider it showing your ID to the bouncer before being accepted into the bar. I understand it feels weird giving your full legal name to a stranger but I promise you that it is only being used through my prayer before accessing the records. The way I understand it is- there may be a million John Smith's in the world but only one John SteveCarellIsHilarious Smith in the world. Giving me your full legal name ensures me that I am accessing the correct persons records. If you do have a common name, fear not! You booking the reading was one way you gave me permission and often times that's all I need. However, since the Akashic Records are sacred and there are Record Keepers I need to get permission from- I like having the spiritual version of an ID as a back-up.

Q: What happens if you don’t have permission?
A: I never attempt to access the records if I don't have permission. However, I've been denied access even with permission. One of two things will happen if I'm denied access. Either I will be specifically told “Today is not the right time. You must leave the records immediately” or I will be met with silence. Imagine going to a club or bar and introducing yourself to the bouncer. He/She was given a list of people given permission to come to the party and you are not on the list. You’ll be turned away. I cannot force my way in and I wouldn’t want to try because I respect the Record Keepers know best.

Q: What's your process to get into the Akashic Records?
A: After I've been given permission, I set a time for myself to dedicate to the reading. I light candles, say prayers, and ask for my guides to help me step into my divine power with grace and gratitude. I sit quietly at my desk for about an hour. To an outsider, it may look as though I'm just writing while slumped over at my desk. Internally, my body is going through a lot as I give spirit permission to use me as a vessel for these healing messages. It takes a lot of my energy and I often need to rest immediately after I've visited the Records. My right side of my body begins to automatically write the messages I'm hearing in my ear while my left side is being given impressions through symbols or images. Depending on the client, I may begin feeling physical signs of the messages. For instance, I've felt pain in my breast as an aunt came forward that passed from breast cancer. As you can imagine, all of these spiritual factors weigh heavily on my energy levels. When spirit tells me the messages are complete, I close the records and drink a lot of water. This helps ground me and bring me back into my body.
When I have completely returned to my body and feel centered, I type up all of the messages I've transcribed and save them as a PDF for my client. I wait to send the PDF for after the phone appointment because then I may include more messages for the client as they come through the phone call. When the reading is complete and the PDF is sent to my client, I encourage them to let the messages settle and return to read the PDF as they need to. Sometimes a client is so nervous during the reading (understandably so!) that certain things don't "click" until they've had time to digest and accept the messages. I like sending the PDF so that you can return to the document whenever you need the reminder that you're never alone.

Q: What happens if the phone appointment lasts longer than an hour?
A: I charge $50 for every additional half hour on the phone. I set a timer and let my client know when we are approaching an hour and give them the option to continue or not. If they wish to continue, then I can relay the messages to my fullest ability. If they wish to get off the phone, I will still send the PDF but I cannot guarantee the messages will be received in the same way as they would a phone call.

Q: Why don't you do Akashic Record Readings for free?
A: Though I am honored to be of service to God, I also know He understands I need to pay my bills. Going into the Records is very exhaustive on my body. There have been times where I end up sick for weeks following one reading. Imagine your body like your cell phone- the battery is fully charged when your soul is present inside. When I go into the Records my soul is traveling to a different dimension and vibrational level (I know, it sounds very "hippy dippy" but it's true!) and so my "battery" has to survive on 5%. When My soul returns I still need to recharge long after the transcribing process and after the phone call. My clients understand that within the $200.00 price for the phone call is actually closer to 5 hours of work that I'm doing to receive the messages and relay them appropriately. The additional hours require more energy and therefore I charge for them as well. Imagine having a 5% battery and stretching it to a 6th hour- it's harder than you think!

Q: Who benefits from the Akashic Records?
A: Ideally, everyone would benefit from the Akashic Records but since the messages are directed for your soul and not your ego- the most receptive clients are those who are ready to hear the messages. If you’re someone who is ready to release what no longer serves you, ready to release your ego fears and past traumas, then the Akashic Records will feel especially helpful. However, if you are someone who is not ready to hear the nitty gritty of what you need to do to move forward in life than I would not recommend a soul reading.

Q: Is everything that spirit says in the reading going to come true?
A: Not necessarily. Spirit cannot interfere with your free will so the readings should be considered more of a guidance toward your life path. They cannot force you to follow their guidance so if you follow a different route then the guidance will change too. For example, if they tell you "take this class and you will meet the person who helps you with your career" but you refuse to take the class then, as a result, you'll never meet that person.

Q: How accurate are your readings? Can you guarantee telling me what I want to hear?
A: Part of the reason I love the Akashic Records is because the messages are pretty straightforward. Spirit tells me messages in full sentences so it’s “easier” for me to understand or relay it in a healing way. I cannot guarantee that you’ll hear what you want in the reading. I can guarantee you will hear what your soul needs to hear. I always begin my readings by asking the Record Keepers to only tell me messages that are crucial to my clients healing, growth or soul purpose. My job is to be the messenger, you can refuse the message but it won’t change the fact that the mail came. Someday, you’ll have to open up and digest what the message is.
Q: Where did you learn this?
A: I have always had these gifts but I began my mediumship by reading lots of books on the subject. You can find these books on my “Recommendation” page if you’re also trying to cope with this spiritual responsibility. When I felt ready to practice this safely I attended workshops, online courses and went to a medium for life guidance. The class that changed my life and the way I connect was Kim Russo’s workshop. It was there that I learned to trust the messages I was receiving and disarm my ego from influencing the reading and/or my life!
I learned how to do Akashic Record reading for myself through an online course hosted by Maureen St. Germain via The Ascension Institute. Spirit guided me to learn how to do readings for other people and I referred to my friend Mary O’Keeffe for assistance. She has been a breath of fresh air and guidance through this process as well.
Q: Can you do readings on people you know (family or friends) or does that interfere with things?
A: I can absolutely do readings on people I know! Though I am not a doctor (and don’t claim to be one!) I view a reading similar to a doctors appointment. Everything said throughout a reading remains 100% confidential. It’s Psychic - Client confidentiality.
Since I view each experience as an opportunity to be a vessel of God’s healing, I tend to “turn off” the every day Megan side of myself and “turn on” the business-Megan side. In this way, I allow spirit to channel through me in 100% God light without my knowledge of previous information or experiences. I may know your loved one passed but I would never falsify their messages.
Q: Can an Akashic Record reading be for groups?
A: Not from my experience.
Often times, the messages that come through hit on a very deep level. This means some clients cry as they release emotional blocks or insecurities they’ve been holding on to. Sometimes information that have been “secrets” in ones life are brought forward by their loved ones in effort to heal the pain they caused. When receiving an Akashic Record reading it’s so important to remain open and if you are among your friends, colleagues, and even family members- you may feel too self conscious to validate when a message is accurate. You may close yourself off to the healing that is meant to occur. Not to mention, your Records are specific to your soul and being around a group may distract you from taking messages for your soul seriously.
I’ve had clients ask me to do individual readings with their friends silently present. If this is the way you feel safest to receive the messages then please let me know beforehand. Otherwise, I would not recommend this approach for the sake of your own healing.

Q: Do you only provide phone appointments? Why don't you do them in person?
A: I currently only do phone appointments. There are several reasons for this but the most significant one is because I want my clients to remain as open as possible during the reading and I think that's easier to do when you're in your own space. As I mentioned in the last answer, sometimes the messages that come through are really private or deep and if you're sitting with a stranger in their home then you may not feel as open to accepting the messages. As someone who has received several readings herself, I understand that we often go into the reading excited but also really nervous about the messages and may sometimes "blank" out afterward because of nerves. That's why I want you to be in your comfortable environment and why I make sure to provide the PDF afterward so that you can remember the messages you need.
Another reason I only do phone readings is in part because of my own energy. I'm very sensitive so sometimes being in the same room as my client during their healing process can be "emotion overload" for me. As an empath I have to enforce my boundaries on a daily basis. This is one way I do that. Also, as mentioned in a previous answer, connecting with your souls records makes my energy go from 100% to 5% and I often need to rest immediately after the reading or else I'll feel ill. In this way, I'm already home and able to do so without the commute.
Phone readings have many benefits and I hope that by the end of the call you agree!
