"Trust me, the earth will revive him.”

Bees were everywhere on our honeymoon. They were a lot less aggressive than the bees in NY though (they were probably drunk off all that yummy rum 🤷🏻♀️🙈) At one point, a bee dropped into my drink. One of the servers at the resort came over to offer us a new drink and I told him how sad I was for the bee. He said “just empty the drink into the sand, the bee will recover.” I said, “but he’s definitely dead. I don’t want to put him into the sand too. That sounds mean!” The server said, “bury him just slightly in the sand. Trust me, the earth will revive him.” So we put him in the sand and watched as the seemingly dead bee suddenly came back to life. He slowly crawled his way out of the thin layer of sand and flew away. The server said “see, I told you. The earth heals.” And walked away.
I think that’s an important lesson for us all. The earth heals us. So when you are feeling like you are losing touch with yourself or losing grasp on your life, return to the earth. Take a walk (with a mask!) or start taking care of a houseplant. Just because we are isolated inside does not mean you lose touch with nature. There are ways to reconnect- you just have to be creative. 🐝 💗
