January 17th 2019

Our first night in Rome was the night before our 9 year anniversary. I was deliriously tired and giggling nonstop as we walked toward the Vatican. We had gotten off of an 8 hour flight a few hours earlier and neither of us slept for over 24 hours. It started to torrential downpour when we left to explore the area, dropping the temperature significantly and making it too cold to walk outside. We compromised, getting coffee from a little cafe when the rain stopped just enough for us to walk. My hands were warming on my cup as I said the words, “I just feel like I’m dreaming. I can’t believe I’m really here.”

I’ve asked spirit three things over the course of 9 years: 1) don’t let me have a premonition of the day Andrew proposes 2) don’t let it be a spectacle for everyone else. I want it to be intimate, just us. 3) somehow, magically, have a photo to remember the moment.

January 17th 2019, a couple on their honeymoon witnessed Andrew get down on one knee and ask me to marry him. It had been raining earlier so the crowds cleared out of the area surrounding Vatican City. The rain stopped. It felt like it was just me and him. I told him I was worried I was so deliriously tired that I’d think it was all a dream and as he told me he’d spend the rest of our lives reminding me of this moment- a beautiful newlywed couple tapped him on the shoulder and said, “did you guys just get engaged? I hope this isn’t weird but...we took some photos of the moment!”

And just like that, spirit said- “ask and you shall receive beyond your wildest dreams.”

I have lived a very dramatic life but my circumstances were not barricades to a brighter future. 10+ years ago I didn’t think I’d ever fly in a plane, let alone go to Rome or get engaged to the love of my life there.

When your intentions are pure and your heart is full- spirit will help work miracles. Don’t settle for less. After all, if this psychic from Queens can somehow avoid premonitions of this magical private moment AND get this stunning photo to remember it by- who’s to say you can’t have what you want too?
